A 16 months delay in finishing Kedarnath's production has gone worse for director Abhishek Kapoor. The film features debutant Sara Ali Khan who was supposed to finish shoot in October 2017 but still the film is yet to be shoot. As per some reports the film's production banner, KriArj Entertainment has taken legal action against the director for delaying production and misbehaviour.

A source close to the production banner said,"Kedarnath is currently in court. The producers believed in his vision but they didn't know he would do something like this to them. He (Abhishek) went to Kedarnath to start the film but suddenly told the team that he was not ready and the makers lost the dates of the cast."

Talking about the film's release date a few days after Abhishek's announcement, Prerna Arora the head of KriArj Entertainment said, "We are thinking (to move the release date). We might not compete with Shah Rukh sir. We are still talking to Abhishek (Kapoor, Kedarnath director). We have to figure out which date is suitable for us. Once we get that, we will be able to reply." 

Movie is yet to completed the film's lead actor Sushant Singh Rajput is now in Chambal to shoot for Abhishek Chaubey's Son Chiriya. His next movie 'Chanda Mama Door Ke' is also in the pipeline. While Sara Ali Khan is rumoured to play Irrfan Khan's daughter in 'Hindi Medium 2'. She is also rumoured to be the lead actress in Rohit Shetty's 'Simba'. Although none of the films is confirmed.
