Abhishek travels to Rome for the 'Match for Peace'

High on the Jaipur Pink Panthers win as the team bagged the Pro-Kabaddi League Championship title last evening , team owner Abhishek Bachchan who recently was also announced the the team owner of the Chennai franchise of the Indian Super League (ISL), flew off to Rome last night.

Abhishek will be the special guest for the 'Match for Peace', a football match played by star players from different cultures and religions for helping to "spread the Pope’s message of peace to the world".

The actor and team owner of the Jaipur Pink Panthers (PKL) and the Chennai Titans (ISL) was invited by former Inter Milan and Argentina captain Javier Zanetti to attend the match and will be the only Indian football team owner to attend the match organised by the Scholas Occurrentes initiative, an Argentine project that aims to educate the poor in different countries around the world.

Italy’s Fundazione PUPI, which works to unite people of different faiths and the United Nations Rome-based Food and Agriculture Organisation is also partnering with the event. 

Abhishek will represent the Chennai Titans at the 'Match for Peace' which will take place at Rome's Olympic stadium.
