Even though Aishwarya has claimed to be taking the year off from films in order to raise her daughter, stories of her signing various films continue to make the rounds. First, she was supposed to be involved in Rajinikanth's "Kochadaiyaan", then in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Bajirao Mastani" with her "Devdas" co-star Shahrukh Khan. Now the rumor mill has her paired with Pawan Kalyan, the Tollywood superstar popular for his roles in films like "Jalsa", "Tholi Prema", and "Thammudu".

 Aishwarya Rai has never starred in a Telugu film (though she did a fair bit of Tamil cinema in her early days--"Iruvar" and "Kandukondain Kandukondain" being two of her most popular hits). In fact, her only connection with the Telugu industry is an item number she did in the film "Raavoyi Chandamama".

The film is supposedly directed by Puri Jagannath.
