Since there is a huge hullabaloo around Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's much hyped comeback post pregnancy, every figment of any rumor catches up as fire. And that was the case when it was reportedly stated that the actress is all set to make a comeback to films with Mani Ratnam's next.
It was reported that Aishwarya, who is one of Mani's favorite actresses, was all set to lead his next directorial venture which was touted to be a screen adaptation of author Daphne Du Maurier's famous 1938 novel 'Rebecca'. But sources close to Mani ruled out the rumors.
Mani's wife, Suhasini, denied the report that her hubby was making any film with Ash.
"Mani is currently focussed on 'Kadal', which still has seven days of shoot left. He will decide on his next only after this film releases. It will take him eight more months after that to write his next script. So, any news about his future project that comes up in this time period is false," she said.
His spokesperson too confirmed that there was no truth in the rumors, "The stories doing the rounds about his next film with Ash are just rumors," he said.
So the fans' excitement over the news of Ash making a comeback turns out to be short lived.
