When you hear the name Neeraj Pandey you couldn't resist watching a single film the director has helmed. Whether it is 'A Wednesday', 'Baby', 'Special 26' or 'MS Dhoni an untold story'. His films are connecting and keep the audiences engaged conveying a great message to take away. But that's not the case in Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Aiyaary.

Even after having a solid star cast with names like Naseeruddin Shah, Kumud Mishra, Anupam Kher and Vikram Gokhale, the film has been a massive disappointment with the loophole in its mundane screenplay that just couldn't connect the audiences. While it's weekend box-office didn't showcase any growth especially from its Saturday and Sunday collection which usually picks up for most of the films.

Moreover, Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the recent releases of the actor and their opening weekend collections. He wrote, "#Aiyaary fell flat on Sun… Growth in biz was missing… Weekend biz is lower than #AGentleman [₹ 13.13 cr] and #Ittefaq [₹ 16.05 cr]… Overall, lacklustre… Fri 3.36 cr, Sat 4.04 cr, Sun 4.30 cr. Total: ₹ 11.70 cr. India biz."

From the box-office numbers, it looks like the film didn't manage to pull the audiences in theatres. Looks like the film will enjoy only one week with major screens.
