Tarun Mansukhani directed 'Drive' under the Dharma Production banner features Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead role. The film was earlier slated for a Holi release, but due to some unknown reason, the film's release date has been postponed. It is Karan Johar co-producing the film along with his mother Hiroo and officially announced the release date of the film via Twitter.

His tweet had the film's first poster along with a release date and his tweet read, ''The Dharma and Fox Car franchise races to cinema halls on the 7th of September,2018!! #DRIVE starting @itsSSR and @Asli_Jacqueline directed by @Tarunmansukhani Buckle up and get set for the zooming ride!! @apoorvamehta18 @foxstarhindi @DharmaMovies''.

The film was shot in the exotic locations of Israel for past one year and Sushant had to follow a special diet for his part. Talking about the diet, Sushant's trainer Yeshu Talari said, "Keto is a diet high on protein and fat, and devoid of carbs. The reduction in carbs puts the body into a metabolic state, called ketosis. We followed this regimen for a fortnight, and subsequently switched Sushant to a low carb diet. He consumed protein every three hours."

It will be interesting to see Sushant's role in the film. However, talking about the plot of the film he said "That's a heist film. When you are going to watch the film, you would not know what is going to happen next."
