Known for his intense looks and action packed roles, Bollywood Superstar Ajay Devgn has always maintained that films are meant for entertainment and not social awareness.
However, at times when films are slammed for influencing bad or evil behaviour amongst people, he says that people should then in a similar manner do good deeds as well.
According to Ajay, films do make an impact on the society and he hopes that his audience takes back something positive from films all the time.
"I don't know if films can be instrumental in bringing any social change, but every time something bad happens, people are quick to point that films are making a negative impact on youngsters. So in the same light I would like to take the credit that films do make a positive impact on the society," he said.
The actor is currently promoting his upcoming film 'Singham Returns' in which he plays the good cop fighting hard to eradicate corruption from the city. Ajay is confident that people will take some positives out of the film, but he urges that for change on a large scale, people will have to come together.
"I am sure people take something positive after watching our films. But any change would not come about through one person, we all need to come together to bring out the change we want in the society," he added.
