Ajay-Rohit stumped by the compliments

20th August 2014

Hit filmmaker Rohit Shetty and superstar Ajay Devgn are back with a bang. The duo which has given hits like the 'Golmaal' series, 'All The Best', 'Bol Bachchan' and 'Singham' are enjoying the successful run of their latest film at the box office.

The sequel to their blockbuster hit 'Singham', the film 'Singham Returns' is doing wonders in winning hearts and setting the cash registers ringing. The film which made Rs. 50 crores in two days, is fast inching towards the Rs. 100 crore club.

Ajay and Rohit who visited a couple of city theatres to gauge people's reaction are elated with the response they've got. "People clapped and whistled each time Ajay said, 'Aata Majhi Satakli', but what gave me a high was seeing some sari-clad women carrying plastic whistles. They made a lot of noise, especially each time Singham said, 'Mein leta nahin, deta hoon'. All that dialoguebaazi and machismo displayed by the hero got the expected results. People were having a ball repeating the lines," said the director who last year delivered a hit with Shah Rukh Khan in the name of the film 'Chennai Express'.

Film's lead star Ajay who is the quintessential cop onscreen in this film, couldn't have been happier than this.  "When I heard that Sylvester Stallone referred to me as the Indian Rambo, I was happy. That only means that Singham's travails have crossed the borders," he exclaimed.

With this kind of success of the film, it is being said that the two are planning for the next installment too.
