It is the highly anticipated sci-fi flick and why won't it be when stars like Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar reunite for a film. However, it looks the fans are made to wait for so long now taking into consideration the postpone factor that the film faced.
Firstly it was set to release on 2017 Diwali then pushed to December 2017 and later postponed to January 25, 2018, in order to allow more time for post-production activity. After too many delays, Shankar's 2.0 finally had an official release date April 14, 2018, announced by its makers. But now it seems that the film will not release in April as well. Being the most expensive film not just in India, but across Asia, the films official release date has been pushed further once again. It is postponed by two to three months.
Trade Expert Ramesh Bala took to his Twitter handle to share this news via a tweet that read, "@superstarrajini – @akshaykumar's #2Point0 release will not happen in April. The release is most likely to be postponed by 2 to 3 months.."
Talking about the delay Rajinikanth has previously said, "Since there is some more CG (computer graphics) work that needs to be done, it is getting delayed. We have shifted the release to April."
So let us wait for the new official release date and hope that it doesn't jump away too far.
