(Cover) - US Showbiz - Alexis Jordan would "love" an acting career.

The 19-year-old songstress rose to fame as a contestant on the first season of America's Got Talent in 2006. Since then she has enjoyed success in the music charts with her debut single Happiness, and the follow-up track Good Girl.

The star would also love to tackle the movie industry.

"Yeah, I'd love to act," she confessed in an interview with Shout magazine. "Anything that challenges me and lets me expand would be amazing."

Alexis has given her top tips for surviving in showbusiness. The gorgeous star says tenacity and perseverance are the best qualities to possess.

"My advice for people wanting to break into music is just to reach for your dreams and never give up," she mused.

Alexis' two lead singles from her self-titled debut album topped the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart. The singer is proud of her national and international achievements.
