American moviemaker Paul Thomas Anderson is currently working on an untitled picture, which will recount the story of an intellectual who creates a belief system to help people cope with the horrors of World War One.

Production is due to begin later this month and according to Deadline Amy is set to star as the wife of Philip Seymour Hoffman's character.

Philip portrays the lead character who develops the belief system after witnessing the devastation of the war.

Joaquin Phoenix has also been linked to the film, and is reportedly set to play the religious leader's accomplice. Stars including Lena Endre and Laura Dern are apparently holding talks to appear.
