(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Andrew Garfield has a special trainer to help him bulk up for his role as Spider-Man, as he tried on the iconic superheros suit and it was baggy.

The actor was unveiled as the star of the new Spider-Man movie last year, and is thrilled to have won such an iconic part. The movie is due out next year, and will follow the superhero as he learns his powers as a youngster.

Although Andrew is enjoying working on the release, his slim figure has been causing problems. The star is notably smaller than Tobey Maguire, who played the superhero previously, so movie bosses have decided to hire him some help to ensure he shapes up quickly.

The producers knew going in that Andrew was on the slim side, so as soon as preproduction began, they put him on a strict meal plan with a nutritionist in order to gain some muscle weight, a source told National Enquirer. Unfortunately, Andrew burned calories by going to the gym on his own, and when he tried on the Spider-Man suit it was baggy.

Producers are so desperate that they hired a trainer whose sole purpose is to bulk up Andrew, or at least keep him from losing any more weight.

The suit the superhero wears his red and blue, and skin tight, so it shows off every lump and bump.

Andrew has previously admitted he knows he isnt as muscley as his predecessor, but insists it doesnt matter. He argues Spider-Man wasnt known for his rippling physique, which is why he is the perfect choice.

However, following discussing with movie bosses he has accepted he needs to boost his muscles slightly, and has now embraced his new workout regime. Hes lifting weights and now joking that he cant wait to show off his new guns once he gets them, the insider laughed. (C) Cover Media
