The actress is said to have arranged a meeting with director Russell O. Howard to discuss a role in the film adaption of the Matthew Quick novel.

Mark Wahlberg has reportedly been signed to star in the drama, which tells the story of a high school teacher who has been treated in a mental institution for four years.

After his release, he returns to his mother's house thinking he has only been away for months and tries to reconcile with his ex wife.

Angelina, who most recently lend her voice to animated movie Kung Fu Panda 2, is reportedly being considered for the role of the estranged spouse.
