Karan Johar recently signed filmmaker Ruchi Narain to direct a movie under his production. Ruchi is known for her unconventional take on films and is highly acclaimed for her work.

He has even assigned himself to co-produce a film with Ekta Kapoor. Both of them together have signed an aspiring filmmaker Akshay Roy to direct their co-production. Their Bollywood’s yet another cult filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is in awe of the duo for giving the new talents a chance to prove their mettle.

“First Ruchi Narain and now Akshay Roy, Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor are doing what most big studios were scared to do. More power to them” wrote Anurag on his micro-blogging page. Anurag further praised the new breed of directors and praised Karan for giving them the opportunity. “Akshay Roy is a really super director has been waiting for so long to make his first feature, really looking forward to it.  He is a very interesting filmmaker, hope more people will follow his suit” he further added.
