There has been a huge hullabaloo over critically acclaimed actor Arshad Warsi's directorial debut film that has been in the pipeline for over some time now. The actor who has several times expressed his intentions to go behind the camera and call the shots has been signed by producer Vashu Bhagnani to direct a film under his production banner. 

Arshad recently confirmed this development and also revealed that unlike his forte as a 'comic star'', his film will be an action thriller. And for this he has already started short listing actors whom he wants to cast in his debut directorial venture.

Arshad wants to cast his best buddy and 'Munnabhai' co-star Sanjay Dutt to play one of the lead characters. "Vashu Bhagnani has signed me as the director. For the cast, Sanjay is my first option. I want to work with actors who are less troubling in nature," said Arshad. 

And talking about the rest, Arshad revealed that he'd like to cast some hot blooded stars from the young generation. Ask him to elaborate and he says, "The new generations of actors are really cool. Since this is my first project as a director, I want to work with actors who would actually help me make this film."
