National award winning filmmaker Bala is an avid reader too. His much talked about Naan Kadavul, which had Arya in the lead role, was inspired by Ezhavadhu Ulagam, a popular novel by ace writer Jayamohan.
And now, the director is getting ready for his next venture, which too is said to be based on a novel, this time not from Tamil, but from Malayalam.
Confirming this, sources say, 'After completing Avan Ivan, Bala got to read Eriyum Thanal, the Tamil version of a popular Malayalam novel. He was so inspired by it and decided to make it as a movie.'
The story is about a couple, who has to face travails in life thanks to their children, sources add. With Atharva, son of late actor Murali playing the lead role, the movie has music by G V Prakash Kumar, who is excited about working with Bala.
