(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Julia Roberts felt "bizarre" playing Ryan Reynold's mother in their newest film.

The 43-year-old actress stars alongside Ryan in Fireflies in the Garden. Playing a mother to a man who is only nine years her junior in real life was an awkward experience for Julia.

"[It was] bizarre at first, because he's so tall!" Julia told Us Weekly at the Los Angeles premiere of the movie on Wednesday. "But it worked out all right. He's a good boy!"

Julia is a mother of three in real life and was pregnant with her son Henry Daniel Moder while she was shooting the film in 2007. The star has fond memories of that time period.

She is deeply moved when she watches the film.

"[I was] nice and ready to have a baby!" Julia said.

"When I see it now and he is this big boy who can dress himself and do these things, it really is touching to see that."

Fireflies in the Garden will be released in the US this weekend. (C) Cover Media
