Filmmaker Anurag Basu who gave us a perfect superhit 'Barfi' last year, is all set to make another one based on late singer and actor Kishore Kumar.

Played by Ranbir Kapoor, the film will be based on the life of Kishore da and how he rose to fame. Anurag said that the biopic is taking too much time and hence it will start only next year. In the mean time, he will commence another film by April or May.

"I am writing three films right now and will select one of them and then make it. This is because the biopic of Kishore Kumar will take a lot of time and now it might start next year," Basu said at an inauguration fest.

He further added, "But before that, I have to make another film. It will start soon by April or May. So the preparations for that are going on."

While the main lead is already finalized, the team is still looking for the female lead to play actress Madhubala.
