Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam starrer 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' which was officially set to release on August 31 has postponed its release date now. This Shree Narayan Singh directorial confirms its new release date which is 14th September right on the festive horizon of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news with his tweet that read "#BattiGulMeterChalu to release on 14 Sept 2018... Stars Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor... Directed by Shree Narayan Singh."
This means that the Shraddha Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor starrer will now clash with Kajol's 'Helicopter Eela' and Kriti Sanon- Diljit Dosanjh’s next, 'Arjun Patiala'. Although its the producer's call, the film seems to have a lot of competition now.
After the shooting wrap up, the final song featuring Shahid and Shraddha was concluded in the Mehboob Studios Mumbai. The film was earlier set to release on August 31 clashing with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Horror drama 'Stree'.
Both movies star Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead and the makers might have delayed the film for the same reason. The film went on floors from Feb 10 and it was majorly shot at Haridwar, Rishikesh, Tehri, Mussoorie and Nainital and prime locations of Uttrakhand. So get ready to watch 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' on September 14 in the cinema near you.
