(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Victoria Beckham will not be giving birth to her baby girl today, says a spokesperson.
The fashion designer and her soccer player husband David will be celebrating the July 4 holiday like the rest of the US rather than welcoming their fourth child.
Although Victoria will be having the baby "very soon" it will not be until next week at the earliest.
"The rumours are rubbish, Victoria has not had the baby but she will be giving birth soon," a spokesperson for the Beckhams told MailOnline.
It was speculated that Victoria, 37, had booked into a Los Angeles hospital to deliver her daughter by a Caesarean section on the public holiday.
But David's publicist Simon Oliveira revealed that the couple were never expecting their baby today.
"Contrary to certain reports, David and Victoria Beckham's baby is not due today and that was never the case," he wrote on social networking site Twitter.
False tweets were circulated claiming that the former Spice Girl had given birth to a 5lb 8oz daughter who they had named Felicity.
However, today is still a special day for the couple as it is their wedding anniversary.
"We got married on July 4, 12 years ago, so it's a special day for us, it always has been and always will be," David said at an LA Galaxy press conference at the weekend.
He also said that their three sons, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, six, were excited about the arrival of their new sister but it was a new experience having so much pink in their home.
"We're really excited. You know, it's a whole new different thing for us. To have so much pink in the house, lilac in the house, and dresses... All the clothes [are] ready, the room's ready , so we're all ready for it and all excited," the star said proudly.
Victoria has continued to work throughout her pregnancy and announced recently that she will be launching a new line of ultra-feminine dresses called Victoria by Victoria Beckham.
The star sought inspiration for her new daughter's wardrobe from French fashion houses, but not in an "obnoxious" way, adding that she liked "little girls to look like little girls". (C) Cover Media
