(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Nicolas Cage's son and daughter-in-law have both been booked on domestic violence charges, according to reports.

Weston Cage, 20, and his singer wife Nikki Williams reportedly got into an altercation in the early hours of this morning at their Los Angeles home where Nikki allegedly assaulted her husband with a bottle.

According to TMZ, the newlywed couple were taken to a police station for questioning after being called out to the disturbance at their home.

Witnesses allege that Nikki became very upset during the fight and cut Weston on the arm with the bottle and punched him before threatening to jump off of their balcony.

Authorities believe that the assault was not just one-sided and also booked the actor's son on violence charges.

Weston was involved in an altercation with his trainer Kevin Villegas last month in a restaurant where he was said to have been "beaten to a pulp" after an argument ensued when Kevin allegedly told his client he could not order a certain item from the menu.

He went to a rehabilitation facility soon after the incident, with his wife of three months also checking in to the establishment.

TMZ had spoken to the couple hours before the recent incident occurred while they were out in Hollywood on Sunday night.

Nikki told the reporter that marriage was "tough but wonderful" and added that "communication is key" to a successful relationship.
