Beyonc Knowles says Gwyneth Paltrow's children are "a credit to her".

The pair and their husbands, Jay-Z and Chris Martin, have been firm friends since meeting in 2006.

Beyonc and Jay-Z are currently expecting their first child, and Gwyneth recently said the songstress would make a great mother.

"That's so sweet of her," Beyonc said in an interview with Closer magazine.

"Her kids [Apple, seven, and Moses, five] are a credit to her and Chris. Jay-Z and I love it when we have them to stay, they're just so adorable. Along with them and my nephew, we have had a lot of practice, but I guess nothing prepares you for your own children. We're so blessed to have a great network of friends and family around us to help and offer advice."

Beyonc thinks now is the perfect time to start a family with Jay-Z.

The stunning singer is glad they concentrated on their careers before conceiving their child.

"I am glad Jay-Z and I waited to start a family because we both feel this is the right time for us," she explained.
