Bhagyaraj's sense of 'timing'

5th July 2011

Ace actor-director K Bhagyaraj took a walk on the philosophical side recently, while addressing the audience at the audio launch of Vaagai Sooda Vaa in Chennai.

'Timing is important for anyone. In fact, it is time which decides the success or failure of a man. My son Shanthanu was to do the role played by Jai in Subramanyapuram but he missed the opportunity,' he said.

Bhagyaraj, who plays a crucial role in Vaagai Sooda Vaa, further said, 'Then came the opportunity to act in 'Kalvani', which is Sargunam's first film. However, Shanthanu was replaced by Vimal at the last minute. So when Sargunam approached me for 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa', I grabbed the offer immediately.'

Made under the banner of Village Theatres, the film is produced by S Muruganandam. A period film set in the 1960s, Vaagai Sooda Vaa has music composed by newcomer Ghibran.

Bharathiraja, Ameer, Pandiraj, Vairamuthu and Prabhu Solomon among others, were present at the event.
