Bharati out, Dwarkish in, says Government
15th July 2011
The feud between Vishnuvardhan's family and friend-turned-foe Dwarkish is not a new one. Now, more fuel has been added to fire ever since after Sahasa Simha's demise, Dwarkish announced a film with Sudeep in the lead, called 'Vishnuvardhana' upsetting Vishnuvardhan's family and his legion of fans.
Now, the government has contributed its mite in widening the rift between the two warring parties. In a law order recently, the Information Department has announced that senior actor-producer-director Dwarkish will be heading the State Film Awards Advisory Committee. Actress Bharati Vishnuvardhan was earlier nominated as chairperson to the committee. The government has also replaced actor Lohitashwa, a committee member with Lokanath, another veteran. Wonder what Bharati has to say to the development?
In the same order, the government replaced veteran producer KCN Gowda with senior actor S Shivaram of 'Sharapanjara' fame to head the committee on providing subsidy to Kannada films.
Hope there won't be any bad feelings among the appointees and those replaced and no unsavory controversies this year.
