Actor Abhijit, who was last seen in a guest role in Saiprakash's 'Nagadevathe' has completed the shooting of 'Vishnu'. 'Vishnu' was a film in which actor Vishnuvardhan was supposed to have played father to Abhijit, for the first time in his illustrious career. But his demise put paid to any such ambition.

Abhijit, however, is content to take on the double role of father and son. Initially, the actor was not sure if he could ever make the film after incurring losses from the film 'Jodi No. 1'.

It was a timely warning from the Film Chamber that his registered title would be given away to someone else if he didn't start shooting for the film by May that spurred him to action. Undeterred by a financial crunch, Abhijit started shooting as his script was ready, waiting to be made into a film.

'Vishnu' is a story of a son realizing his father's dreams. Newbie Catherine is the heroine. Now Abhijit is planning for a late September release.

Who knows, by then, the controversy over the name associated with Vishnuvardhan will have died a quiet death.
