It was producer Bhushan Kumar's strong business acumen and a knack of having his finger on the audience's pulses that made him spot the potential in the first 'Hate Story' and then follow it up with a bigger hit, 'Hate Story 2'.
Now, the T-Series head honcho has been proven correct once again with the third installment of the hit franchise crunching in even bigger numbers as it continues a dream run at the box office. The producer had faith in the film even before its release and the trust translated into bigger budgets and the production house's brilliant marketing that helped catapult the film in the superhit league.
Ushering in the new genre of the revenge-erotica, 'Hate Story 3' directed by Vishal Pandya saw its leads Zarine Khan, Sharman Joshi, Daisy Shah go in for complete makeovers on the big screen, and the gamble clearly seems to have paid off for the trio too. Meanwhile, Karan Singh Grover took the term sizzling hunk to a different level with this one.
On this Bhushan Kumar, said "Hate story franchise has created a new and very successful genre called revenge erotica - an unsual mix of intrigue, revenge, erotica and great music. With sensible costing and bold marketing the brand is growing with every film. The response from the audience and trade is fantastic and is a big thumbs up to our belief in the franchise."
