This (letter) may kindly be treated as my consent to represent the state of Maharashtra as its Tiger Ambassador," was megastar Amitabh Bachchan's reply to Maharashtra forest minister Sudhir Mungantiwar proposal.

The actor is now the brand ambassador of ambitious Tiger Conversation project.

He further added, "Your expansive letter has educated me greatly on not just the Tiger Reserves within the state of Maharashtra but also the finer points on the importance of this campaign."

Keeping in mind the popularity and social awareness programmes he is heading in today's date, made him apt for this project too.

Sudhir Mungantiwar said, "Considering the popularity and legendary image of Bachchan, he was an automatic choice to be appointed as tiger ambassador which will be instrumental in bringing awareness among the citizen of the state towards protection and preservation of tigers."

Big B posted a picture on Facebook and wrote, "And today formally appointed by the Hon Minister Shri Sudhir Mungantiwar as the Brand Ambassador for Tiger, for the State of Maharashtra ..
