(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Billy Ray Cyrus says all he wants is for his daughter Miley to be happy.

The country star revealed that he prays for the teenage actress-and-singer to enjoy a fulfilling career and hopes that she will understand what matters most in life. He has only recently patched up his relationship with Disney star Miley following a brief estrangement, and is now hoping she will continue to focus on what she does best.

My wish for [Miley] is to be happy. To love what she's doing As long as she's happy and loving making music - and I know she loves acting - that's all that matters," he told Parade. "I pray the same for Miley as I pray for my other kids - that they live their life with purpose knowing that it's about giving back and finding out what you can do in this world to hopefully make it a better place."

Billy Ray and 18-year-old Miley have been through a difficult phase in the past few months after the musician expressed concerns about her wild behaviour and blamed his daughters hit television show Hannah Montana for ruining his family life.

The 49-year-old also announced he had separated from Mileys mother Tish last year, adding to the strain on their relationship. He has since apologised for being so outspoken and put a stop to divorce proceedings in a bid to reunite his family. (C) Cover Media
