(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Brooke Mueller has reportedly told pals she's been "hanging out" with ex-husband Charlie Sheen.

The pair married in 2008 and have two-year-old twins Bob and Max together. Their relationship has been troubled, with Charlie pleading guilty to misdemeanour assault following an argument with Brooke on Christmas Day 2009. The couple split after the incident, with both spending time in rehab. Their divorce was eventually finalised in May this year.

Brooke has been in and out of treatment facilities, and earlier this year gained a restraining order against Charlie after claiming he'd threatened violence. They have since worked things out, with Brooke having primary custody of their kids.

It's now been claimed the troubled pair may be on the verge of reuniting. Brooke is alleged to have confided she has been spending time with her ex, although it's thought they are just friends at the moment.

"Brooke Mueller is telling friends she's been hanging out' with Charlie Sheen again, and there's even a possibility of a reconciliation," reports TMZ.

"Brooke is saying [she] began hanging with Charlie at his home, where he's been a virtual shut-in recently."

She apparently started reconnecting with the actor after he split from Natalie Kenly. She was one of his two infamous "goddess" girlfriends, but called time on the romance in June. A few weeks earlier his other girlfriend, Bree Olson, ended things by text message.

Brooke has apparently told those close to her she and Charlie still have many things in common, although they know it's important not to get too caught up in things due to the difficulties they've experienced in the past.
