Cameron Diaz has hosted a baby shower for Drew Barrymore.

The pair are close friends, with Cameron acting as a bridesmaid and reading a poem at Drew's wedding in June.

To celebrate the impending arrival of Drew's first baby with her husband Will Kopelman, Cameron threw a party in Los Angeles. The bash took place at her home on August 4, reports Us Weekly.

Around 50 of Drew's closest friends and family members attended and the atmosphere was relaxed and joyful.

"Kids were jumping in a bouncy castle," a source told the publication.

Cameron ensured everyone enjoyed themselves by hiring a number of child-friendly activities to keep the younger guests busy. People of all ages had fun around the pool as they tucked into dishes of treats such as chips and guacamole.

Drew's new spouse Will was also closely involved in proceedings and is clearly looking forward to welcoming the new arrival.

The couple are believed to be expecting a baby girl, with Drew apparently set to give birth in the fall.
