Channing Tatum is "fully committed" to his pant-less scenes, says director Michael Sucsy.
The hunky actor is starring in upcoming romantic comedy The Vow alongside Rachel McAdams. Michael says Channing doesn't mind going without his attire, as he likes to execute his character roles to the best of his ability.
Michael appreciates this quality about the star.
"He's great," Michael told e! Online. "He's fully committed to doing whatever it takes. And if that means taking his pants off, well then"
The Vow follows the story of a newlywed couple recovering from a car accident. Paige, played by Rachel, ends up in a coma and she awakes with severe memory loss, Leo portrayed by Channing vows to win her heart all over again.
Channing is seen baring his flesh throughout the movie. Although the 31-year-old star initially thought the scenes unnecessary, Michael soon put his mind at ease.
"There was one time I got called to his trailer. I had never been called to his trailer so I was like, 'What's going on?' Tatum says, I just heard from wardrobe that I'm shirtless in this sceneisn't that kind of gratuitous?'" Michael recalled.
"And I said, Yes.'...Ya gotta keep the fans happy."
Michael insists it was his gay friends who encouraged the nude scenes. The film director says they twisted his arm when it came to the more risqu parts of the movie.
"They were like, 'You have to write a scene where he's naked,'" he said.
