After much restrictions and bans by the CBFC, 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' directed by Alankrita Srivastava is finally releasing on July 21, 2017. The film which garnered many awards at International Film festivals was banned in India due to "lady oriented" and containing "audio pornography" as well as "contagious sex scenes".
The second trailer of the film is out now and boasts of some good amount of bold scenes. The trailer starts with real-life news reports stating it as 'The most controversial film of the year' and 'They said it has contagious sexual scenes.' Till one of the actress from the film asks a simple question 'Why are you so scared of our freedom?' The trailer throws light on a woman's feelings be it a sexual desire or any other thing. In this patriarch dominant society, it is important to showcase women power and this film does exactly the same.
The controversies which were surrounding the film boosted the excitement level of the audience to know what it really contains that is banned. This gave the film all the required attention and paved its way for promotion as well.
It stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Aahana Kumra, Plabita Borthakur, Sushant Singh and many others in the lead.
