(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Cher is tired of people expecting her to be menacing when they meet her.

The 64-year-old has had a lengthy music career, and is also a successful actress. The star is renowned for her outlandish stage outfits, regularly performing in tight body stockings, lace leggings and leotards. She also has huge hair, and Cher says her overall persona leaves many people terrified.

She cant understand why she makes people anxious, but has vowed to stop worrying about it.

Because I've been doing this for 45 years, my personality is my personality and, once someone spends time with me, you feel fine. I'm not doing anything, she said. I can't even imagine what it would be that someone would expect me to do that would be frightening or menacing.

Cher recently featured in a high-profile publication, and was horrified to find her supposed reputation had turned the interviewer into a quivering mess. She decided to confront the situation head on, and thinks she might do that more in the future.

I was doing an interview with someone who has interviewed everyone and I was nervous about him because of who he writes for, but he was nervous to talk to me, she laughed. I said, 'This is silliness. Don't be ridiculous. Let's get this thing together.' (C) Cover Media
