S.V. Ranga Rao, fondly known as S.V.R. by his fans and collegaues, will have his statue unveiled.
A grand function will be held at Doleswaram, Rajahmundry on 20th July, 2012 where Megastar Chiranjeevi will inaugurate the great actor's statue.
S.V.R., who is famously known for portraying versatile roles like Ravana, Ghatotkacha, Duryodhana, Kamsa and Kichara from the Indian Mythology was a great actor. His performance created waves all around the film industry. He was also the only Telugu actor to win the Best Actor Awards at the Indonesian Film Festival for his role of Keechaka in 'Nartanasala'.
A few years back as well, Chiranjeevi had unveiled a bronze statue of the star and recalled S.V.R.'s exceptional acting skills.
