(Cover) - EN Music - Chord Overstreet is eager to begin work on a solo album.

The 22-year-old American actor-and-musician is best known for portraying Sam Evans on hit musical comedy show Glee. Chord has been busy performing on the European leg of the Glee tour, and as much as he is enjoying it, admits he has other exciting projects on his mind.

Chord is keen to put his best effort into making a record, and made his plans clear via social-networking site Twitter.

"getting close to the end of the tour. cant wait to start working on my album when i get home!!! im gonna go full on! (sic)," wrote the star.

Chord is the son of successful Nashville-based country singer Paul Overstreet. It has not been confirmed as to whether or not country music influences will dominate the record.

The third season of Glee is scheduled to premiere in late September. (C) Cover Media
