Chris Brown theft investigation continues

30th March 2012

Authorities investigating allegations that Chris Brown stole a phone are determined to "uncover the truth in its entirety."

Christal Spann, a fan of Chris', alleges that the Grammy Award-winning singer became aggravated after she took a picture of him in Miami in February.

She claims that the singer grabbed her iPhone, yelled, "B***h, you ain't going to put that on the Internet", then drove off in his Bentley.

Christal filed a police report soon after and Radar Online reports that authorities continue to look into her claims.

"In our investigation of the Chris Brown incident, we have taken the statements of our local witnesses and have just finished discussing with the lead Miami Beach Detective the additional witness information supplied by Mr. Brown's attorney Mark Geragos," Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said in a statement. "We now must interview these individuals, some of whom may be from out of state, just as we do in every criminal investigation in order to uncover the truth in its entirety."

If Chris is arrested, his probation for his felony battery charge against Rihanna is likely to be instantly revoked. If that should occur, Chris could spend time in jail for violation of probation, despite whether or not he is actually found guilty of theft.

"Chris wouldn't need to be convicted in the Miami case, if he is charged," a source explained to the website previously. "The conditions of his felony probation are very, very strict. Chris must obey all laws and not be arrested for any other crimes. This could be a huge nightmare for the singer's probation if he is arrested and charged."
