Chris Evans: Captain America wasn't comfortable

14th July 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Chris Evans found it impossible to get comfy in his Captain America costume.

The American star is the famous superhero in upcoming movie Captain America: The First Avenger, and will reprise the role for next year's The Avengers.

The part saw him don a red-white-and-blue one-piece, something which took Chris a bit of getting used to.

"I did not get to keep any of the costumes, unfortunately," he told MTV. "Because a lot of times on films you have to go back to do re-shoots, and if they don't have the suit available, we're in trouble. And no, they were not comfortable."

The Avengers sees Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and The Incredible Hulk team up. With so much superhero competition, something special had to be done when it came to Chris' character's costume. His look will be updated for the release, which is currently being filmed.

"In The Avengers, the suit is much more slick, it's modern. There is a lot of range of motion and it makes those fight sequences a lot easier," he revealed. "It looks fantastic." (C) Cover Media
