(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Christina Ricci loves relaxing with her puppy.

The American actress has been in the spotlight since she was a young girl, appearing in films such as The Addams Family and Casper.

Christina loves nothing more than unwinding at home with her pet.

"I take a personal day, which basically entails me being on my couch with a book and my puppy!" she told the UK edition of OK! magazine.

"I don't leave the house. And I like to visit my friends, and just hang out with my family."

Christina's dog accompanies her across the globe. The 31-year-old star has recalled a particularly embarrassing moment on an aeroplane.

"One time my sister and I were flying in business, and my dog broke free and went gunning for the first-class flight attendants' lounge. My sister leaned over and was like, I think that's Karen, running up the aisle.' By the time I got up there, she had burst into where the flight attendants were," she explained.

"I heard a big Ew!'"

Christina doesn't have much luck when it comes to animals. The star has explained what happened when a chimpanzee attacked her on the set of a film.

"I was sitting at a table and a chimp sat next to me. He grabbed my left boob, and nobody saw but it hurt!" she laughed.

"I didn't want to upset the chimp, so I just said quietly, Help!" until the trainer finally realised something was not right!" (C) Cover Media
