Cline Dion: Jackson changed my life

23rd February 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Cline Dion has planned a special tribute to Michael Jackson in her new stage show because he changed [her] life.

The 42-year-old singer embarks on a three-year residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas next month. One of the songs she will perform is Smile, which was one of the late pop superstars favourite tracks. Cline is also set to sing the tune at the Oscars ceremony on Sunday, as images appear behind her of those involved in the movie industry who died in the past year. She wants to dedicate the song to Michael because he inspired her early career.

Well, he changed my life. I saw him on TV and I wanted to sing in English because he was doing so and I went to learn English and met with him and I [sang] with him and he came to see the show and he had a big impact on my life, she told Access Hollywood.

Cline is developing a strict schedule for her Las Vegas residency. The star has four-month-old twins Eddy and Nelson and must factor breastfeeding them into her daily routine.

She will have a nursery backstage at Caesars Palace and is hoping to have some downtime after her live performances before she is back on feeding duties.

I can either go to them or they can come to me - its going to be practical, its going to be easy since Im still breastfeeding the babies, so its every three hours - for both, she added.

And then its an hour and 40 minutes in the show. Then I have time to shower and get loose and relax and breastfeed the babies again and then have a bite and go to bed myself.

Cline also has a ten-year-old son Rene-Charles with her husband Ren Anglil. (C) Cover Media
