(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Courtney Love isn't sure she's legally allowed to go to the Hamptons.

The group of villages and hamlets at the end of Long Island, New York, are a favourite holiday destination among the rich and famous. Courtney has explained she doesn't usually frequent the area, but she has visited in the past. Although she doesn't talk about her legal issues surrounding the destination, the Hole rocker did reveal she isn't sure law enforcement officials would be happy to see her there.

"I've been to the Hamptons twice. I'm not sure It might not be potentially legal for me to go the Hamptons," she wrote on a blog for xojane.com. "I don't understand the Hamptons."

The 46-year-old then tried to explain just why she finds the upmarket holiday destination so confusing. She likened the Hamptons to British band Muse, explaining the area is just another thing other people like that she doesn't understand the fascination with.

"I feel like it's the band Muse. I've never gotten into Muse. You can't just listen to one song. I'm like eight albums behind," she explained.

Meanwhile, it's been reported Courtney has been ordered to pay two former maids over $35,000 in wages. According to TMZ, a Beverly Hills court has ruled the musician failed to pay Miriam and Myriam $16,632.45 and $19,137.27 respectively, and must now stump up the cash. (C) Cover Media
