(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Dana Delany feels she can relate to her Body of Proof character Dr. Megan Hunt.

The 55-year-old actress is famed for roles in shows such as Desperate Housewives, where she portrayed Katherine Mayfair from 2007 to 2010.

Dana is currently starring as female lead Dr. Megan Hunt on US drama series Body of Proof, and admits she can empathise with that character far more than her former Desperate Housewives alter ego.

"Probably Dr. Megan. I'm not a housewife at all," she replied when asked by the British edition of OK! magazine whether she related more to Megan Hunt or Katherine.

Dana added that she "likes a challenge" when it comes to acting parts, and also explained how fond she is of her former Desperate Housewives colleagues. She is still in contact with Eva Longoria, who is famed for her portrayal of Gabrielle Solis, and Marcia Cross, known for her part in the show depicting Bree Van de Kamp.

"I saw Marcia Cross over the holidays, I've emailed Eva, and when I'm back there I'm going to visit the set!" gushed Dana. (C) Cover Media
