Dannii Minogue: Convenience food is OK

16th March 2011

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Dannii Minogue says beans on toast wont ruin your health.

The 39-year-old is renowned for her gorgeous features and womanly curves and has become something of a fashion icon of late. Despite praise for her fabulous figure, the Australian singer doesnt always have time to cook from scratch and sometimes chooses slightly more unhealthy alternatives.

I know buying prepared meals doesn't come cheap but there are all sorts of cost-effective shortcuts you can take to buy yourself a little 'me time', she said in a MyDaily blog post. Beans on toast for dinner once in a while isn't going to ruin your health.

The mother-of-one has an extremely busy lifestyle - juggling motherhood, television commitments and a budding fashion career. Dannii - who set up her own clothing line called Project D last year loves the idea of conjuring up an array of exquisite cuisines, but admits she doesnt always have the time. She tries not to feel guilty about eating convenience food, as sometimes its the only option she has.

I love cooking and find it a great relaxer and de-stresser, but at the moment it's a treat when I have the time to cook a special meal, not something I can do on a day-to-day basis, she said. I'm teaching myself not to feel ashamed for picking up a quiche and salad from the local deli or a ready meal from the local supermarket. (C) Cover Media
