Dayanidhi Alagiri, son of Union Minister and DMK leader M.K. Alagiri, is a popular producer in Tamil film industry. His Cloud Nine Movies has produced and distributed many successful movies, including 'Vaaranam Aayiram', 'Mankatha', 'Thamizh Padam' and 'Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai'.

And now, the high profile producer has floated a new company, called Meeka Entertainment. The first venture of Meeka will be a film starring Siddharth Narayan, to be directed by Vetrimaaran's former associate Manikandan. The film will be jointly produced by Dayanidhi and Vetrimaaran's Grassroots Film Company.

'Very excited about this new venture of mine Meeka Entertainment. Its perspective is going to be much broader in terms of entertainment, media and communications,' tweeted Dayanidhi.

The yet to be titled movie will have a story and screenplay by Vetrimaaran himself. A hunt is on for the leading lady. Velraj will wield the camera, while music is expected to be composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar.
