Deepika Padukone has apparently credited filmmaker Karan Johar for her successful stance in Bollywood.
Though she was launched by choreographer turned filmmaker Farah Khan in the film 'Om Shanti Om' (2007), according to Deepika, it was Karan who encouraged her the most when she was a newcomer.
Recalling her first meeting with the 'Dostana' filmmaker, Deepika reveals "I remember we were shooting for my debut flick 'Om Shanti Om' when one fine day Farah and Shah Rukh introduced me to Karan and even invited me to join them in their chat. Karan has always been kind towards me. I think just because of few good mentors like Karan I owe my stance in Bollywood. I am really thankful to him".
Currently, Deepika is working with Karan in his next rom-com production venture 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani', to be directed by Ayan Mukherjee of 'Wake Up Sid' fame.
