Except for 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se', Deepika was always seen in glamorous and girl-next-door roles like in films like 'Break Ke Baad' or 'Housefull'. Deeepika recently lashed out at the critics, by stating that glamorous roles need acting too. Often critics and people are of the opinion that glamorous roles don't need the actress to bring out the best in them. Deepika feels be it glamorous or de-glam, it is just a character sketch but acting is required in both of them.

Deepika, we agree that such roles too need an actor to be qualified enough to perform well on-screen, but you, as an actress, are doing well and need not feel targeted by such perceptions. As of now, you just need to concentrate on the promising films that you have in hand and let your work do the talking.
