Yash Raj's next film 'Mere Brother ki Dulhan' stars Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif. The film is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Earlier it was reported that 'MBKD' was suppose to release in the month of July but now the film-makers have decided to postpone it by a month or two as they now plan to release the film in September.
The reason behind this is that Katrina and Imran have other films releasing in the month of July. Imran's 'Delhi Belly' is slated to release on 1st of July this year, whereas Katrina Kaif will be seen in Zoya Akhtar's next 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' that will hit theatres on July 15th. According to Yash Raj, to release 'MBKD' in the same month wasn't a very good idea, as the film has both the actors in a very different role from their respective films that will release soon. Moreover, the same actor's two films in the same month would be an overdose for their audience who wouldn't like to see them on screen so soon.
To get the film the required attention, Yash Raj has zeroed on September as a month to release 'MBKD', so that they have ample time to even promote the film on high scale and get it the deserved attention.
