While director Vijay and Vikram managed to complete the shooting of'Deiva Thirumagan' within short span of time and are even ready to release the film, they are caught up with some problems pertaining to the film's title. Right from the beginning, the producers of Sivaji Ganeshan's'Deiva Magan', weren't willing to give away the title. 

Recently, the makers decided to have'Deiva Thirumagan' as the film's title. Now this has resulted in the unrest of the'Thevar' Community as their all time idol Pasumpon Thevar, is called'Deiva Thirumagan'. Recently the members of the'Thevar' Community went to meet Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and requested him to impose a restriction on the film's title.
