Mithun Chakraborty, the disco dancer of Bollywood has turned 65 today and worth is the day today, to look back at the tale of his stardom attainment.

Mithun, popularly known as Dada introduced pop culture in the nation and made everyone groove with his disco dancer persona and won number of accolades for his contribution to Indian cinema.

Mithun starred in a number of family and romantic dramas. His portrayal of Manik "Nanaji" Dasgupta in Mani Ratnam's 'Guru' won him a lot of approval and a Filmfare nomination for Best Supporting actor.

His performance in Amitabh Bachchan starrer, 'Agneepath' earned him Filmfare Award for best supporting actor while his performance in the film 'Jallad' won him the FilmFare Best Villain award and Star Screen Award Best Villain of the year. 

Mithun's life that emerged from grass root to Cloud 9 seems to be a pure inspiration. We wish our very own disco dancer of Bollywood a very happy Birthday.
