(Cover) - EN Star Style - Dolly Parton has recalled a particular wig "nightmare".

The 65-year-old country singer always looks impeccably groomed and is known for her voluminous blonde tresses and love of make-up.

Dolly is famed for wearing a number of different hair pieces, but has admitted that donning wigs isn't always an easy feat.

The songstress has recalled a particular embarrassing incident involving her wig ending up off her head.

"There are always nightmares if you wear a wig and I usually do, even if it's just a little short one. One time I was riding a bicycle with my best friend, Judy Ogle, and I hadn't pinned my wig on that well," she explained in an interview with Q magazine. "We went to this little grove with an overhanging tree. As I cycled under it, I saw Judy crying with laughter. I turned around and there was my hair hanging from a branch. I had to quickly turn around and snatch my hair off the tree!"

Dolly says there have been numerous other incidents involving a badly-applied hairpiece. Despite having difficulties, she says that she is currently in the process of creating a new wig collection.

"Then another time I was doing a show and my fiddle player got his bow stuck in my hair. Every time he played a note, I could feel my hairpiece lifting up. I was fighting to keep it on," she said. "As for another Dolly wig line? Yes, it's something I'm involved with right now. I'm working on it as well as a cosmetics and perfume line." (C) Cover Media
