Donald Sutherland: Honored With Star At Hollywood Hall Of Fame

January 28, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): Donald Sutherland 75, one of the most admired veteran stars of Hollywood was honored with a Hollywood Star of Fame on Wednesday the 26th of January.

The star of the great actor w unveiled outside Roosevelt hotel which was placed right next to his son Kiefer Sutherlands star.

The veteran actors son Kiefer could not attend the special event due to a previous commitment but he did send a special heartfelt message to his dad, which was read out by Colin Farrell, who is Donald Sutherlands co star in the forth coming flick Horrible Bosses.

It was a moment of pride and happiness for the great actor performer and star who is well known for his penchant for acting and who has been seen in diverse roles right from a Nazi to an astronaut over the years in his career in tinsel town.

Donald Sutherland is a Canadian born and has been in the industry for more than five decades which has seen him portraying some of the most admired roles in flicks like The Dirty Dozen, The Day of the Locust, Ordinary People Space Cowboys to name just a few.

Apart from this he has appeared in several television series and his most memorable ones are in the one titled Citizen X, for which he won the prestigious Emmy and Golden Globe Awards. The other Golden Globe was awarded to him for his role in the television film Path to War.

The veteran stars forth coming projects include The Mechanic and The Eagle and he has no plans to retire yet saying that he plans to continue working even now.

The actor was extremely happy to have received the honor and said that he could sit there all day mopping the star so that no one could step on it.
